About the project
A library is a wonderful place to discover stories and learn a new language. But if it’s your first visit, it can also feel a little overwhelming. So many books… where do you begin?
That’s where Luna comes in.
Together with Luna, children and their families explore the children’s department of De Nieuwe Bibliotheek and Flevomeer Library. Along the way, they discover the library, complete playful assignments and learn new Dutch words in a fun and accessible way.
Who is Luna?
Meet Luna, a Tellmie.
Luna is Go Wonder’s soft, huggable audio guide. She has seven curious children who are hiding somewhere in the library. They are trying to learn human language, and each of them has discovered a favourite spot in the children’s department.
Can you find them all?
Who is Luna for?
The project was developed for NT2 families with children aged 6 to 9.
De Nieuwe Bibliotheek in Almere is home to two bilingual cats, while Flevomeer Library in Dronten has two bilingual foxes. Together, they guide families through the library in either Dutch or English.
By following Luna’s adventure, children and parents become familiar with the library, learn new vocabulary and complete playful challenges together. A welcoming introduction to the library, where language learning begins with curiosity, play and exploration.
