About the project

Kunsthal KAdE presents a new exhibition every four months, featuring contemporary and modern art, architecture or design. Because the museum has no permanent collection, every exhibition offers something completely new.

At Kunsthal KAdE, you don’t have to understand art. You might find it beautiful, funny, confusing or even a little strange. It might make you smile, raise questions or simply stay with you long after your visit. That’s exactly what makes art so powerful.

Together with Het Imaginarium, we developed a family trail that encourages visitors to experience art in their own way and discover that there is no “right” way to look.

About the family trail

What do all exhibitions at Kunsthal KAdE have in common? They all present art that speaks.

Not because it tells you exactly what to think, but because it invites you to feel something, wonder, imagine and start a conversation.

The trail encourages families to explore, observe, reflect and share their perspectives with one another.

To make the concept sustainable, we designed two flexible routes combining permanent and exhibition-specific activities. This allows the museum to reuse the family trail for every new exhibition while still offering visitors new experiences and ways to engage with the artworks.
